The “Luigi Cherubini” Youth Orchestra Foundation is a private, non-profit organisation, whose articles of incorporation specifically define its aim as the promotion and implementation of higher-education specialisation courses for young orchestra musicians, with a view to their professional training, growth and development.

Such training also involves the production of full concerts and opera events in which the selected young musicians will perform. The rehearsal and performance of such programmes will most often take place under Riccardo Muti, the Orchestra’s promoter and Music Director.

Qualified Candidates will engage in alternating periods of training and public performance. They will be hired on a fixed-term, part-time contract subject to Italian Labour regulations (i.e., the national labour contract for the artistic personnel of Civic Theatres).
